One Man's Idea Is Another Man's Prison

Hitler was a failed architect; today, he'd be a succesful one. I suppose, then, we should thank the horrors of modern construction for adopting such tyrannical personalities and for allowing them to assuage their lebensraum fantasies in city squares rather than on international maps. Surely it's better to confine beady-eyed maniacs to local planning offices rather than release them into the wild. Mind you, having said that, look what a dreadful hash Mussolini made of downtown Rome with his ugly Via dell'Impero. You can't win with these people and, alas, there are so many of them.
